    CSV Export on Table Views

We've added a new button at the top of any view when Table View is selected. Clicking this button will download a CSV-formatted list of the current nodes in the view.

    Graphing View

Introducing a new view option: Graphing View, similar to quick reports, this view is filtered on the nodes in the current view.

    Open Ports Testing

During the daily node updates, we now test for open ports, which are listed in the System Info panel.

    Interface Info Tooltip

We've added tooltips that appear when hovering over interfaces, providing additional information.

    Past Events

Each properties panel now has a link to show past events for this category.

    Recent Interface Changes Agent

This very useful agent (when added to a node) will alert to any recent changes in state and hold this open for 1 hour. Useful to help spot fast down/ups that don't necessarily generate a ping fail of an end device etc.

    Agent parameter configuration

A number of our agents now have a configure panel to allow the user to change the values for alerting thresholds. An example here is the Uptime Exceeded Agent where you can set the number of days.

    Upgrade to Alma

We're excited to inform you about a crucial upgrade to the Core OS of our Mutiny Appliance, transitioning from CentOS 6 to Alma EL8. This upgrade offers several benefits, including:

    • Enhanced Security Features: Alma EL8 includes the latest security protocols, providing robust defence against potential vulnerabilities and threats.
    • Performance Optimisation: Alma EL8 is optimised for modern hardware, enhancing performance and efficiency.
    • Long-term Support: Alma EL8 ensures continuity and stability with regular updates and patches.
    • Compatibility with Latest Software: Alma EL8 supports the latest software and applications, ensuring compatibility and new features.
    • Automated Upgrades: Our upgraded Mutiny Appliance can automatically detect and apply OS upgrades, streamlining the process.
    • Future-proofing Your Infrastructure: Alma EL8 ensures the longevity and future-proofing of your infrastructure.

If you have questions or need assistance with the upgrade process, please contact our support team.

    WinRM in Beta

Our new WinRM monitoring tools are now in beta. These tools allow us to store credentials and make WinRM calls to Windows systems instead of using SNMP agents. We have developed new Adapters and Agents for uptime monitoring and specific Windows application monitoring.

To test these features, switch on support in diagnostics and switch to the testing stream in updates. We welcome suggestions for new agents.

    Appliance Upgrade

We strongly recommend purchasing a new, up-to-date Mutiny Appliance. Our latest appliances come pre-installed with Alma EL8, offering optimal performance and reliability. The new appliance starts at £1,056 plus VAT and delivery.

If your current appliance is 3-7 years old, you can repurpose it as a Cold Standby appliance with a free cold standby licence. Contact support@mutiny.com for more details or to arrange an upgrade.

    UI Development Kit

We now offer a UI Development Kit that allows customers and developers to design and implement their own Status Panels and Views. This kit includes sample code and instructions on how to upload your code into the Mutiny shared code space on the appliance. This is particularly useful for service providers using Mutiny's published views in their customer portals.

    Adapter Development Kit

Alongside the new UI Development Kit, we offer an Adapter Development Kit. This kit allows vendors to create adapters that support new data collection methods and cycle analysers that collate and analyse data.

    Features That Go Unnoticed

One useful feature that might have gone unnoticed is the list of installed software. This button can be found on the Node's status panel and opens a panel listing the installed software and versions.

    What's Coming Next?

Mutiny is continually developing new features based on customer feedback. Here's what's coming soon:

    • Metrics Streaming: Incorporating a new Metrics Streaming Engine for Push Metrics / OpenMetrics etc.
    • WinRM Direct Polling: Using stored credentials, Mutiny will retrieve data from Windows systems without installing agents.
    • Port Discovery Engine: A new method to scan for particular ports on target devices regardless of access to PING or SNMP.
    • Performance Increases: Transitioning to Alma EL8 allows us to take advantage of new versions of Java and PostgreSQL, enhancing performance.
